Welcome to the Chesapeake Bay Piranahas Cheerleading 2017 Season!! 

The Chesapeake Bay Piranhas Cheerleading Organization is a recreational league that was created to teach our children team cohesion and the basics of sideline and competitive cheerleading.  Cheerleading is a commitment and every practice is important.  Cheerleading is a team sport, and you need to practice as a team as well as individually.

*Please be sure to send plenty of water with your cheerleader to each practice to keep hydrated.

Practice Attire
Athletic clothing and hair pulled back out of face.  Must wear tennis shoes, cheer sneakers preferred.  No jewelry.

We have a great coaching team this year.  They will be in touch the week of July 24th to introduce themselves. 

Rosters will be finalized July 31st. Squads are formed according to age.  Squads will be determined based on the number of participants in each category. This year,  we will have three teams; 8 & under team; 10 & under team; 14 & under team.  

-The 8 & under team will have the returning coaches of head coach, Laura Marvel and assistant coach, Taylor Cohee;

-The 10 & under team will have a former CB Piranha/Kent Island HS graduate Caitlyn Stampone return to be the head coach with Dawn Wackowski as her assistant coach;

-The 14 & under team will have head coach Niki Morris and Hailey Dove. 


All squads are sideline and competition squads. The Chesapeake Bay Piranhas are now part of the Bayside Conference League.  The cheer teams will participate at home and away football games.   Also, the teams will have an opportunity to perform a short half time performance at each football game they cheer at.

All squads will participate in two competitions this season.  The first competition is October 14th at the Wicomico Civic Center for the Bayside League Regionals.  

Practices will begin the week of JULY 31st   and are located at Batts Neck Park in Stevensville.

Practice Times: 

8 & Under (old name -Tiny Team) :  Tuesday and Thursday, 6PM to 7:30PM

10 & Under (old name Mini/Pee Wee):  Monday and Wednesday, 6PM to 7:30PM

14 & Under (old name - Junior) : Monday and THURSDAY, 6PM to 8PM
